I'm pretty dissapointed.
Thanks for the recording!

I almost felt like it was rushed and maybe Lindsey thought there was going to be more time.

No, songs from the album he's promoting. You can be polite and gracious, criticismless until forever, but this was bull****. Why talking about Seeds We Sow and then play two songs from 34 and 24 years ago? It simply doesn't make sense. And he did those two every single time he was on radio before, so what is he to thank for? We're his audience, not his butlers!

I have to agree. That was lame. Get a new script Mr. You're pulling up the rear. Stevie is the fresh one now.

Well, he said befor he started: I'll do a couple of easy ones. Maybe he thought: "so little time??? Frick you, then you won't have the scoop of my new songs live on radio."

That would fit his persona, so I hope it went that way. Otherwise: shame on you LB.

you seem angry. maybe he is JUST comfortable playing those he knows he has perfected for LIVE radio. im thankful he had radio play, and KBCO is a great station. of course I would have also love listen to new album songs I have heard, and hell the whole album LIVE, that just didnt happen. lindsey's never been one for selfpromtion IMO 'check out my new killer ass chit'.

Angry is a big word. I feel that I'm not taken serious as a listener when there's a new album to promote. And he played at least one or two new songs everytime he promoted UTS or GOS on live radio. So I'm not asking for 'check out my new killer ass chit' I'm just asking for some feelgood vibe around the new album. Come on, he's not there for feeling comfortable, he's there because a new album comes out.

He's not taking us seriously when he repeats the same scripted bs every interview. He sounds like an idiot. Why would I want to listen to what he says musically when I can't stand hearing what comes out of his mouth? He's an intelligent man. He understands his audience. We're esoteric and to the left...blah blah. Why doesn't he realize how disgusted we get hearing the same crap for years on end? He doesn't care. It's not like he's speaking to a different group of people every time he changes his location or product. It's the same small group of the right ears he's been speaking to forever. If he's not playing new songs it's even more insulting for him to repeat pat interview answers like a dip stick, wasting our time.

Don't bother blaming the interviewer. Lindsey does the same routine no matter who's asking, no matter what they're asking. He does it for recorded edited interviews the same as live. It's like Chinese water torture he's putting us through. The only reason I'm still tuning in is for the new music, unless he finally drives me away with this drivel before he gets the music out. He's adding insult to injury by expecting us to hunt down the release instead of hooking us up with a choice of direct download or cd purchase on his own website. How complicated is that for DIY?

Zzzzzz I'm bored just reading about your disappointment. If only he had known you were listening, he would have pulled a rabbit out for the sound effects alone. I dig the recording I made, and he does it again. Classic Rock station, I anticipated these songs. As a listener, I am getting his new album whether he actively pursues asking me or not.

To be honest, shackin' up and Mr. Stevie have a point, and they have a right to vent their frustrations. I think Lindsey doesn't do the best job in terms of promoting his stuff, but I'm not upset with him. I have accepted this is how he does his thing. I have pre-ordered his album and intend to get that, his DVD, and see as many shows as I can. His interviews are long-winded, meandering, and I often skip through them, but he is a musical genius who has blown me away time and time again. I adore his solo music, I love his live shows, and I will be happily partaking in both regardless of how annoying/repetitive/dull his interviews are.

But that's just how I feel.

People accuse Stevie of being self indulgent and living in a fantasy bubble but Lindsey's no different. They're both surrounded by legions of sychophants and have been forever. I doubt they ever get useful criticsm from anyone. I don't mean to bore other fans with digs, but Linds just p%sses me off sometimes. He's so much better than this.

On the bright side, what I've heard of the new music is great. He's still got it in the studio, even if his interviews sound like he's getting senile in his old age.

BC, I know you love the guy, so I won't bust his b@ll$ anymore for your sake. He's lucky to have you in his corner.

IMHO, his seeming inability to provide interesting interviews doesn't preclude his creation of musical genius. Maybe he just hates doing interviews and loves time in the studio - and it shows.

I find what he says very interesting. I just don't like that he says it repeatedly. Michele
