Sure but they've had Test for Echo, Vapor Trails, Snakes and Arrows and soon Clockwork Angels in the same amount of time FM did SYW. And you're right Peestie they do 3 hrs of a new set list every tour.

It's a wonderful CD!

The absence of Chris didn't bother me much - it think it works well with the 4 of them.

If one member of the five had to be lost, Chris was the right one to go (IMHO) - I couldn't bear a Fleetwood Mac without LB/SN/MF/JMcV!

Well, I don't want to lose anyone, but if forced first I could bear for John to go, then the Fleetwood guy, then . . .

No no, definitely not. Out with Blondie. I'd fall into a deep pit of depression if John turned round and said "yeah I'm bored of playing bass now, I'm just going to fish for a living"

Ditto. John's the most consistent thing about Fleetwood Mac. He's almost always doing something I love under the guitars.

Oh No! I can't imagine the band without either of the 2 namesakes. I really enjoy watching Mick behind the drum kit, John has an interesting presence as well. I'm happy with the remaining 4.
If Stevie and Lindsey ever did a Buckingham/Nicks tour I'd be up with that.

Eh, I'll have to disagree on that. I would've been happy if Chris stayed and Stevie left. Actually, I'd love to have a Christine-Lindsey fronted version of Fleetwood Mac. Fleetwood Mac just isn't the same without her. It doesn't feel like a real band anymore.

Then it wouldn't be Fleetwood Mac. Period. They're treading on thin water as it is without Christine, but at least she wasn't an original member (although, she's been associated with them since the beginning).

Well, actually I was countering your statement that Christine would be the easiest to lose. So, I was throwing her back in and saying that if any of the five had to go, first John, then Mick, then there were three.

Oh!

Well, even though I do love Fleetwood Mac very much, I am first and foremost a Lindsey fan so really I suppose I could bear them all going one by one and just leaving Lindsey.

As long as we have him I'd be happy - oh, wait, we DO have LB as a solo artist!

I'll go for this! It's not that I don't like Stevie. I do! Still, if someone had to leave, I would have preferred that Stevie did.

To me, Fleetwood Mac can't exist without John & Mick.

Christine wrote some very good songs, but she's out of the band for 13 years now, because SHE wanted to. Time to move on.

And I happen to like SYW quite a bit, I listen to it more than Tusk or Tango.

Man, I don't even like to think about any of them leaving. I will be inconsolable if we lose any of the remaining four.
I miss Christine like I would miss an arm, but if nothing else, I'm happy she's happy. Listening to Homeward Bound, it's hard not to think about how much of her life she gave to touring, perhaps without enjoying it.

That said, if we remove the emotional component, I do think she's more key to the sound than Mick or John. If we're basing it on the music alone, I could whittle it down to the three writers.
