Dallas went downhill starting with the season after they "killed" Bobby. Those first few seasons were great, but it got progressively more ridiculous and ratty after that. The way they treated Pam Ewing's departure from the show was criminal. There was never any real closure - not that I care anything about that nutty Victoria Principal.

Been staying positive and hanging in there and trying to improve my outlook on life. I have met many people here who have also been through much worse than I and that has given me strength to make a recovery...

Cheers!!!

Hang in there, Brian. Sending you strength and peace.

Dear Brian, in 1998 the love of my life committed suicide. I was devasted for a good, long five years. I believe the loss of your wife Debbie is so painful to you that you just don't know if you can endure life without her in it.
My addiction worsened and I wandered aimlessly for several years not knowing what to do with my life. Then one day I realized the white knight I had always been waiting for was really me. That's when I started to make real changes and my life became more enjoyable.

I've shared with everyone here how I stopped doing drugs and drinking and now honestly, everyday feels wonderful to be alive.
I know you have heard this before, but I really believe it when I say to you that 'time heals all wounds.'
Please hang in there buddy. It will get better.

Hi Brian

In November last year a very good friend of mine who had had some very dark moments must have finally felt too overwhelmed - he commited suicide and left us all devastated. I am not trying to lay any kind of guilt trip on you, noone has the right to do that and it is not at all helpful. However, what his family members did say was that the one tiny comfort they got from something so awful was that they could see from how everyone handled it that he had really been loved and respected by so many people - more than they and he ever knew.

I suppose what I'm trying to say in a very clumsy way is that there will be people who care deeply for you, wthether they are unable to show it or your mind won't allow you to recognise it right now is a different matter of course, but please believe it. Lean on them and let them help you. My friends parents have said that they just wish that he had known how much everyone loved him - it may have helped.

Apologies if I have expressed myself badly in this post. Take care and get well at any pace you can.

Al.

I live in a fairly large city but we have a lot of ponds and today I had to stop the car so a large family of ducks could cross the street. So cute they were as they walked single file in between the two white lines. No one could site them for J-walking, that's for sure.

That I am back from my "mini vaca" and omg was it fun! It consisted of beach, sun, boardwalk, alcohol, dancing, and long walks on the beach lol

For those of you who dont know...my friend Katie turned 21 last friday and her parents rent a place on the beach for 2 weeks...So myself and a few freinds spent the weekend.

It must have taken a lot of strength and bravery to get help when you felt you needed it. I hope things continue to improve for you.

Ok - impulse buy at the supermarket earlier this eveing - Seasons 1 & 2 (29 episodes) of Dallas for £5(approx $3.75) - bargain!! I'm re-watching the first episode now and am settling in for some quality cheesy yet brilliant drama...

Impulse buys are usually the most enjoyable - and good bargain!

Happy viewing, I LOVE Dallas!

Decided to go for a run at 3:30am since no normal person can do it during the day around here. Was having trouble getting the heart rate up until a huge raccoon jumped out at me from a trashcan. For a brief moment... I broke down. Like a little girl. No questions asked.
