I just don't understand why she's putting on that nasally/baby voice for the album version... it's really annoying and detracts from what could have been a beautiful song.

I love all the others. I know that a lot of people don't like Stevie's vocals on Smile at You but I absolutely love them.
No one has a problem with her vocals on Smile at You. Have you heard any of the 3 demos for that song? What we have a problem with is the album version lacks the fiery passion of the demos. The album version is good but majorly subdued.

As for you not liking RTTG and EFO, get ready for the firing squad. Two other Ledgies are tied up there waiting to be executed.

She didn't HAVE the fiery passion in 2003...

P.S. The album version is imo leaps and bounds ahead of any demo version. Though I do cringe at the "I should have turned away and ran, just as fast as I can" line...

Illume. Everything else is pretty good.

People refuse to admit it, blaming the "lyrics" but I believe they just hate Silver Girl because Stevie said she wrote it about Sheryl Crow.

Really hard to vote on this one. RTTG and Destiny Rules are the only SN songs from this album that I still listen to. Illume would be great if not for LB's Zelda Rubinstein "Go into the light" vocal. Say You Will needs another verse. This version of Thrown Down is bland beyond belief. EFO is...meh. Silver Girl is nice. I have trouble w/ some of the lyrics to Smile at You. GB is also bland. So, it's hard to vote for a least favorite, b/c I dislike the songs that I do dislike just about equally.

I don't like Think About It either and I love Christine.

But Jane did make me dislike Jane Goodall -- and chimpanzees.

Smile At You. Easily. I love her vocal on it, and the production... apart from the weird attempts to add in a chorus. The turned away and ran parts and the aaaaahhhs... no. Bloody awful. Like Viv said, I much prefer the passion in the demo versions. Although it starts off so promising... it quickly becomes farcical.

I actually quite like Silver Girl, I thought the chorus was actually pretty funky. It just has a few really unfortunate lines that throw off a pretty neat song.

Aw, it's not so bad. I mean - it's not great, mind you.

What am I saying? I don't even listen to it.

I actually like "Silver Girl"! For some reason, it reminds me of Stevie's Streel Angel album.

Poll closes in about 5 hours.

Is it weird that I love When I See You Again, and hate Silver Girl?
