I go see other concerts of other groups I like. I see several concerts each month so Im usually busy in some way. Plus I tape all the shows I go to on my DAT recorder, so Im usually busy making CDs from the DAT after shows.

I know what you mean though, after I go on tour with a group there's always that re-adjustment where you want to go on tour forever, yet reality hits you and you realize it aint so, lol!

I don't have a cure which is why i'm so dang antsy for them to come back here. I am still suffering from mega mac withdrawl and it's sooo incredibly lame. I'm to the point where I sing song lyrics everytime someone mentions something that may also occur in a Fleetwood Mac/Stevie/Lindsey song. My friend Meredith and I also make it a point to do the Lindsey Peacekeeper Chicken Squawk everytime we get on the phone. My friends are like, "sweetie..we need to get you help..." lol! Sorry to any people in any of the states mentioned in my other thread that I may have offended but i'm freakin' at the fact I probably won't get to see them again unless they were to magically appear back over here before i leave for school in late August, at which point I sell my soul and my first unborn child away. I really truly am happy you all will get to see them...I'm sad I won't get to see them again though unless a small miracle occurs

Ok my last thread somehow never made its way on this board. That sucks cuz now I have to type it all over again. Anyway, I will share a funny story with you all but you cant tell anybody else k?
sssh.

So one night I was up late and surfing the internet. I saw Stevie on the TISL tour (opening night in Pittsburgh) and knew that I had to see her again. I went on ticketmaster and saw four 4th row center seats to the Virgina beach show. So I thought up a plan to use my friends credit card to buy the tickets and then sell the other 2 to make up the cost. I sold the other two tickets and then realized that I would be in North Carolina around the time of the show. Well the Virgina Beach Ampitheatre was only like 2 hours away from where we were going to be staying. I knew that my husband would be pissed if he found out that I bought more tickets so my friend and I told him that I had won a radio contest to the Virgina Beach show. She typed up a letter and included a free cd along with my tickets. He didn't want to go to the show but coulnd't argue since I had won free tickets. I guess he never figured out that it isn't likely that I would win tickets to a show in another state. Well we went on vacation and the day of the show I found out that Stevie cancelled the show because she was sick. I was so angry because I knew that I wouldn't be able to make it back to Virgina for the show. So I sold my 2 tickets and then bought new ones to the Columbus show on the 17th of September. It was after 9/11 and I new that they only way I could feel better somehow was to see Stevie perform. I told my husband that the radio station let me send them back my tickets and gave me new ones to Columbus. My friend and I went to the show (it was different because I was sad about the whole 9/11 thing so it wasn't like I was really excited to see the show but knew that I had to be there)and had a great time. (We had 5th row center) I left there feeling much better about things and needless to say got to see Stevie once again.

So anyway, if you are as shady as me you can always find another way to go to the show. My friend and I have a good chuckle everytime we talk about what we pulled over on my husband. I still feel bad about it but just couldn't help myself. He doesn't understand my music obsession so sometimes it is easier to lie.

I can understand what you are going through. It can hit you hard but I think surrounding myself with Mac music, Mac items, keeping in contact the Ledge boards and the internet and all my Mac friends helps a little. Another show would be nice, too. But it really depends on where it would be and my funds at the time.

The Ledge is a GREAT place (Yay Marty!!). Thankfully it exists because i've met some great people via here and we've had some most excellent conversations about Fleetwood Mac and other random things. In fact, i'm heading down to North Carolina in July to see my best friend I met off the ledge a few years back. I also had the privlage of going to the Atlantic City show with Ali AND I got to meet Livia and a few other ledgies in DC, finally met Janet in AC and PA and met Jake in PA. Everyone is GREAT and there are definately some other people i'd love to meet one day.
The Ledge brings THE BEST Mac fans together So it definately does help

Marissa-I didn't realize it was abnormal to do the Peackeeper Chicken Squawk! I must really need help! My daughter and I do it all the time and have been since we first heard the song. I was wondering why some people were giving us such strange looks!!

And Kak125-you and I should trade stories some time. I thought I was the only one who dreamed up these elaborate schemes to get to FM or Stevie concerts! I'll tell you the story of how I managed to get to the Stevie AHI benefit in Phoenix in '98- from Florida- with my sister- from NY while convincing my husband and our whole family we were just going to do a good deed!
Anyway, I shouldn't have brought that story up-since it relates to karma (bad)-after waiting for hours for Stevie to show up at the after show party-and then an hour and a half on line to meet her-she got up and left right before we got to the front of the line We were heartbroken! I figured we deserved it after the tale we had woven-
