You know, I hear a lot of people say this but I have to disagree in the same way that a lot of people say the title track to IYD would make a great single for Stevie. I just don't get the thrill of these two songs.

I would have loved to have EFO as a single for Stevie. She bills herself as a rock and roll artist and so I wish she would choose the rockiest songs on her records as the singles.

Thrown Down to me sounds like a copycat of Dreams but with different lyrics.

I agree with you about IYD. It's one of the least catchy and/or compelling songs on the new album, as far as I can see/hear. I was rather shocked when people thought it was a stand out hit.

Same. Starts off promisingly enough but those dull Country-esque harmonies that plague most of the song do nothing for me at all. And I don't like the version of Thrown Down on the album very much but the "Wall of Sound" mix is a lot better.

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Yes, least catchy. I'm trying to hum it now and failing miserably. On the other hand, if you want to hear my rendition of For What It's Worth, just pull your chair closer to the fire and settle in.

Bad lyrics - "Come"

Christine come back, please!! - Um... all of them?

Should've been a hit single - "Thrown Down"

Add this song, remove that one - Add "Not Make Believe", Delete "Silver Girl"

Much better performed live - N/A

Overall least favorite - "Red Rover"

Bad lyrics - Silver Girl

Christine come back, please!! - The whole record. I didn't like this one so much because Chris wasn't on it. However, I also didn't like Christine's record that much. Both records were too much. I wish she'd been on their record and/or they on her record. The balance was sorely missed.

Should've been a hit single - "Thrown Down", "Miranda", and "Smile At You." (How did John not get a credit on that last one?!?)

Add this song, remove that one - "Down On Rodeo", "Murrow..." All I'm saying is that "Down..." is a classic Fleetwood Mac song. I don't care how it was released, it has Mick, John, and Lindsey on it, it's Fleetwood Mac! "Murrow..." could be a solo song.

Much better performed live - What's The World Coming To?

Overall least favorite - Silver Girl

I also enjoy EFO but there's just something about Thrown Down that I like. I also think she should choose her rockier songs for singles. Fall From Grace would have been great.

Bad lyrics - I can't think of any really bad lyrics on here

Christine come back, please!! - She added a lot to Steal Your Heart Away, and that's why that song really sounded the most "Fleetwood Mac" on the album. Add her vocals to the other tracks and add 4 Christine songs (and keep the best 4 of each from Stevie and Lindsey, removing the rest) and you'd have had an amazing album.

Should've been a hit single - Thrown Down, Steal Your Heart Away, Miranda

Add this song, remove that one - Add Down On Rodeo, remove Come

Much better performed live - Not sure

Overall least favorite - Come

Can't agree with you on that. "In Your Dreams" isn't one of my faves on the album by any means, but its undeniably catchy. Here's for your humming: la-la-la going up the scale, la-la-la *slightly* slowing down, going down the scale (for the verses).

Bad lyrics - What's The World Coming To. It's a bunch of cliche phrases & ideas sewn together into one very lackluster song.

Christine come back, please!! - Like others have said, Christine is what prevented this album from being the 21st century Tusk. Lindsey and Stevie truly brought some great songs to the table, but there is such a chasm between their material without Christine to bridge it with her contributions. SYW has some really fantastic songs, but it's not a fantastic album.

Should've been a hit single - Destiny Rules. That song is bottled, concentrated Fleetwood Mac. It's everything the band has ever been and always will be.

Add this song, remove that one - Add Not Make Believe, remove Running Through The Garden. RTTG is a fine song (I especially enjoy the rocking guitar solo), but in my eyes, it should never have been placed in the Fleetwood Mac offering plate. It's very much a Stevie solo song. I think Not Make Believe might just be the finest Stevie/Lindsey collaboration to emerge from the entire SYW project, though. It's got some great quirky production from Lindsey; great poignant lyrics from Stevie, and both of those things actually sit well together for this song and aren't battling each other out. They just blend beautifully into a very neatly packed little song. I think it's fantastic.

Much better performed live - Say Goodbye. The weird sped up tempo & cadence of the album version is grating, the live version is just so emotional and sublime.

Overall least favorite - Everybody Finds Out. I very much like the lyrics of the song... they're downright racy for Stevie. But I feel the production is a horridly cheesy afterthought.

I'll take Running Through the Garden, and you can have the rest of the album - including Not Make Believe.
