This.

I guess I just don't get the appeal? I mean it's fun to play around as Stevie, but to dress as her and all that...idk

The only thing I will add is I don't think us impersonators walk around in all our stuff day to day. Really it's a bit much and not very practical to go around looking like that all the time. Which is why Stevie herself most likely saves it for the stage. I don't personally comment on the other impersonators and just let everyone do their own thing. We all have our corners of the world and space to do it in to me.

I can think of a few instances where Stevie swishes her skirt while twirling around. They're so floaty and pretty I don't see how anyone couldn't. I do when I have them on

I don't swish my skirts, but when I have on a full one, I do take my hand and raise it up as I walk. I feel very Victorian when I am doing this!

Wow, Julie looks, sounds, and moves amazingly like Stevie! If I didn't know it was Julie I would of thought it was Stevie herself!

Agreed. I never could quite find the right word until you just said it- creepy.

To each his own though. Vegas has tons of impersonator shows that evidently people like to see.

I think (and I'm going against my rule of knocking anyone) but I think what turns some people off is when they feel it goes beyond having fun and feeling that some people actually think they are her. I think there's a fine line you don't cross when dressing up as Stevie. There will always be only one Stevie. I'm proud just to sort of represent her when I can and help keep that signature look alive as an impersonator sometimes because she may not always be performing and someday not around and all that'll be left is us loving fans and the general public to remember her by. But lets not go that far into the future because she's going to be with us for donkey's years from now So lets just have fun and be happy she's still doing it and still performing for us!

I agree. I think what really creeps me out is when this woman said in her video on her site, before Gypsy "This is a song about going back to my roots" Or if she would have said "this is for you, daddy"

She looks quite like her. But I don't dig her voice.

Funny you mention that because if you watch her "promo" video on youtube there's a clip from Landslide and and she DOES say, " this is for you daddy".

So weird.
