Default The Harry Potter Thread (SPOILERS)

I saw Harry Potter last night. I give it an 8/10. It would've ranked higher but... there were things I expected to see and... didn't see them. So yeah. Overall enjoyable.

This topic of conversation is probably why neither of you were requested to read the audio books XD

You havn't read the books? How is that possible for a Harry Potter fan? Most of the information is in the books. I grew up reading them long before the movies started coming out.

I read up to the 3rd. I'm not a big book person. I really like HP but not a mega fan who reads the books. I enjoy the movies. I know every big HP fan tells me the same thing though about the books.

I'm curious as to what you expected to see and didn't. I saw it this evening and was more than pleasantly surprised. I knew they would have to leave things out, but I thought they kept all the integral parts. I thought the Snape flashback scenes were especially well done, although they differed slightly from the book, I thought it worked for the movie.

I just got back and afgsdhjfg I'm still a snivelly mess. I'm concious of posting spoilers but I bawled. And I had my Gryffindor uniform and wand. The first thing that came to mind when the logo came on screen was being a kid again and I remembered the first time I went to see The Philosopher's stone.

I went as Bellatrix again. Bawled the entire last 20 minutes of the movie.

Anybody else think Voldemort's death was kinda anti-climatic?

I thought it was kind of a given that Voldemort would die at the end anyway.
