Default First week sales?

What does everyone think Stevie first sales are going to be?

My guess would be a 90,000-115,000 debuting at number 4.

I could be wrong. Maybe she will get the number one spot!!!!

I just hope she cracks the top 20... top 15 would be great! Anything higher is beautiful!

I have no clue what her first weeks sales will be, but I think she could easily take #1. The only other band releasing an album that day that I've ever even heard of is Fleet Foxes, and I doubt they will be massive competition.

Didn't Christina Aguilera (at least, I THINK it was her) debut at number 1 with 45K sales?

I'm predicting a top 5/3 debut for this album, followed be a rapid decline. I think it'll go Gold within... five years.

Don't think it'll do anything outside of the US.

This is what I'm hoping. I'm hoping that this album actually has good word of mouth and stays on the charts for awhile. She really hasn't had that happen since the Wild Heart.

That has changed. Adele sold over 300,000 to get the number #1 spot. It's back up again.

But she was bumped down for a while and regained the #1 spot two days ago with only 98,000. The number 2 album was Rise Against's new album which sold 85,000and the number 3 album only pulled in 47,000.If Stevie can pull in 100,000 the first week and there are no super albums out there topping the charts (Britney Spears maybe??) then she should easily sail into #1. If not, she should have no problem getting within the top 5.

No, they will be. Fleet Foxes have a HUGE fan following and are generally renowned in the indie scene. I don't think she'll beat them.

There album only sold +200,000 copies in the U.S. Maybe they are still building a following because they new, but I bet Stevie takes them.

Agreed. Fleet Foxes are pretty big. All my music aficionados, and even myself, LOVE them. They're a great band. Their new record is highly anticipated.

I just checked Fleet Foxes is doing better on Amazon.com It's like 66 while Stevie's is 86. However, their album is $8.99. Her album is over $14.

ummm I would love for it to hit those numbers, but I don't think it will. She is not coming off something like the Dance. TISL sold like 104,000. This album won't sell as well initially. Hopefully around 60. Her live album bombed.

Keep in mind that Sheryl Crows, Heart, Jewel, Alanis, Melissa Ethridge, Hole's last albums have not even went gold! Women aren't doing too well unless they are Country.

Those numbers sound a bit aggressive to me. My guess is she'll crack the top 20 for sure. With Soundscan being the way album sales are now calculated, I'm betting her sales figures will be far more conservative this time around. My guess is 35,000-50,000 at most. I dearly hope I'm wrong and Stevie ropes in another top 5 spot and sells hundreds of thousands of copies... but I'm guessing that won't be the case.

As of right now, the Top 10 on Billboard consists of acts like Adele, Glee, Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne and Lupe Fiasco. Between now and then, Britney Spears, Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Foo Fighters and Jessie J have album releases.

The week Stevie releases "In Your Dreams," she has competition from Musiq Soulchild and Colbie Caillat. I think it's very realistic she'll be in the Top 20, hopefully the Top 10 depending on if Britney, Bieber, Glee and others shift down the chart in a months time. Also, if she is definately on Oprah and is prominately featured on iTunes main page and in mags like Rolling Stone, she should be fine.

However, if I had to guess, I'd estimate sales of anywhere between 75-120 for the first week. But I wouldn't at all be surprised if she drops off soon after and sales decline only due to the fact that in the few weeks after her release, she faces Lil Wayne's Carter IV (if it's even released then) and Lady GaGa.

I thought Colbie's album got pushed back to July 12. It's Jennifer Lopez album LOVE that is released on May 3 and she has a big hit to back it. She is also facing competition right now from the Beastie Boys.

Stevie is currently kicking the Beastie Boys and Jennifer's butt on amazon. However, they seem to be getting better promotion though itunes and billboard magazine. We shall see.
