Thanks for your hard work on your website Nicole.I was thinking of making up a Stevie/FM website since the late 1990's.I never got it up and running probably because other stuff came up.

Absolutely! At the end of the 2013 tour,Stevie said during her outro that they would be back next year.Since when do they tour 2 years in a row?Another issue completely - in re-watching Stevie's emotional "Say Goodbye" performance at MGM - I know that she shed real tears but she is such a drama queen and 'in the moment' when she's onstage that she can make herself cry.But I noticed that just as Lindsey started to say "I'm going to dedicate this.....",Stevie walked out from behind the microphone and went to the front of the stage and practically bowed to the crowd even before Lindsey said her name.At first I was like "awww!",but then I was like "hmmmm-wait a minute....."What do you guys think?Am I just overly suspicious b/c Mama is sooo full of s**t most of the time?

I think she just got caught up in the moment. John was still dealing with his cancer diagnosis, and as mentioned, it was pretty obvious that when they came back "next year" that Christine was going to be in the band. So that was pretty much their last public performance with that particular incarnation of the band.

I've watched all the Vegas SG videos multiple times. She's not making herself cry. That's genuine; she even tries to control it, and mostly fails. [x] There are often certain songs which trigger her or them; Lindsey had choked slightly on SG a show or two earlier, in fact - he dedicated that one to her as well, which she repaid with an emotional Landslide dedication, IIRC. My impression was back then and still remains that it was especially emotional primarily because they knew it was the last proper gig with just the two of them upfront, doing 'their' thing - Say Goodbye in a few ways, then. It's a very personal song with just them onstage and that, as well as the show, was really ending.

I always got the sense last year that they allowed themselves quite a lot of freedom when it came to personal stuff onstage compared to other occasions. As Stevie emphasised in interviews, she insisted to him that they not be fake, that they remember who they were 'before' and embrace being that 'cute', 'compassionate', 'loving', 'funny' power couple. She moves away from the mic because she realises fairly swiftly that Lindsey is going to dedicate it to her. You can see her shake her head. She wasn't bowing.
http://cat-in-the-dark.tumblr.com/po...few-years-back

He then says that she'll be mad at him but he wanted to do the dedication for her, and that she should just try and do her best. She struggles through it, the 'time within a time' section - as almost always - getting her worked up the most. If you watch other videos, it's quite clear that Lindsey is more than a little teary himself, actually.

I believe John found out about the diagnosis in Germany, right? We don't really have footage from the next two shows in Herning or Oslo but we do from the next two, the final shows of the European tour. It was quite interesting, seeing what the possible impact of that was on them. They both leapt to making dedications. To each other. It hadn't happened before on the tour, and only happened for the last European shows, and then Vegas.

STOCKHOLM, SAY GOODBYE (10.23.2013)
This is a song that I wrote a few years back, um, maybe ten years ago for the Say You Will album. And, um, I think it's safe to say that it was written at a time when much of the turmoil and underpinnings that fueled our early time in Fleetwood Mac, all of that was behind us as are many of the illusions that we might have held onto. Um, we're coming to the very end of our European tour. This is the second to last show and, um, this is something that Stevie and I do. By ourselves. It's a song I wrote about Stevie and, um -

You know, I've known Stevie since I was about sixteen years old - [audience member calls out] Ha, yeah, last year, he says. Yeah. Thank you for that. And, uh, you know, we've been down a long, long road together and there are times when maybe you just keep taking it for granted and think it's never going to end. But I'm realizing now, you know, that we are getting to a point where you can't really take anything for granted. And I'm just going to dedicate this - as we come to the end of this leg of the tour, the end of this cycle of touring very soon - I'm going to dedicate this song to Stevie. This is called Say Goodbye.

AMSTERDAM, LANDSLIDE (10.26.2013)
But secondly, besides that, I would like to dedicate this song to my band. I'd like to dedicate this song to Fleetwood Mac. And I don't know if Lindsey can hear me -
[Stevie turns to face Lindsey, back to the audience]
Can you hear me? So, okay, so I'm, tonight I'm going to dedicate Landslide to our band. So I want to dedicate it to Fleetwood Mac. And I'm also going to dedicate it to you, Lindsey. *voice cracks* For all the wonderful things you have done for me. For teaching me the little guitar pick that is in Landslide, that I would never have known if it had not been for you. And all the really wonderful music that you have brought into my life. And just for being a wonderful friend all these years. And, um, I just want you to know that, even though we argue, the love is always still there.

Thanks Nicole for the stills -they're really helpful. You can see the actual facial expressions that aren't visible in videos. Also thanks for the text.I'm glad I was mistaken about this b/c it really pulled on my heartstrings when I saw it and to find out it was a fraud would have been a real bummer.

They had similar moments during the Say Goodbye intros at the end of the SYW tour. When I saw them last, Lindsey said that the night before Stevie got mad at him because he dedicated the song to her and he was saying, "I know you don't want me to do this ..." And Stevie was gesturing back as if to say, "Oh, it's your song, you can dedicate the song to anyone you want."

He said to her, "it's been too many years. Or maybe it hasn't been enough."

Just a quick heads up. I have now uploaded all the audio interviews I have - whether Fleetwood Mac, Lindsey Buckingham or Stevie Nicks. I know there are probably a lot more out there but I was VERY late to the game! #excuses

Anyway, you can download them all via my forum if you wish. In addition, all audio interviews are available both for streaming and for downloading via my website:

Fleetwood Mac interviews

Lindsey Buckingham interviews

Stevie Nicks interviews

Some of the video sections of my Media pages are still a work in progress, but the audio is now up to date and as complete as possible. Enjoy.

I'd e-mailed Fritz manager (and ex-con, and XXX industry man) David Forest last week, wanting to know if he could look over a few tour dates for me. Instead, he asked if I wanted to do an interview with him. I figured why not.

So here it is.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, Nicole for uploading all these great interviews. I used to have most of them on cassette tapes (yes, I'm showing my age) but they were all lost many many moons ago!

Hearing these (especially the Jim Ladd and Rockline interviews) brings back so many great memories of the past 30 years of collecting/obsessing/channeling both Miss Nicks and Fleetwood Mac's music!

BLESS YOU!!!

No problem. I don't see the point in keeping things on everyone's separate computers and not sharing. I wish I had more but coming to Fleetwood Mac in 2013 kind of limits the amount of stuff I've been able to find, lol.

I'd never heard the Jim Ladd "Inner View" for "In Your Dreams" until just now! Amazing! And I thought I'd heard all her interviews with Jim. This was extremely enlightening! What's great about Jim is that, it seems he is the ONLY disc jockey who understands her poetry and can bring out an "honest and completely candid" side of her in interviews that she hasn't ever been able to do with anyone else! It's a shame that he retired a couple of years ago. Imagine what a two hour "inner view" of 24KG would have been like last year!

In this interview, it's interesting to hear that Benmont Tench told Stevie (who obviously didn't remember) that they had recorded a full band version of "Secret Love" (but scrapped it) for the "Bella Donna" record! I would LOVE to hear that version. If a Master Reel exists of that, then someone is keeping it well under wraps!

Also very interesting to hear that if she were to cover ONE Leonard Cohen song, it would be "Suzanne". That happens to be one of my favorites and I would KILL to hear her cover that one. She says a recording of it exists...and again, someone is keeping that one well under wraps.
