Even though I'm a Food Network addict, Paula Dean's voice works my last nerve. You might be a hillbilly, if you talk like Paula Dean!

I've always wondered about the draught thing! It makes NO sense.

And I visibly cringe, on the occasion that I hear someone refer to their caRt, as a buggy. Buggy? Really? In 2011???

YOU DO! and southern ohio has a different accent than NE ohio ... pittsburgh has a different accent than we do, but they're only 2 hours away ... etc. so 4 hours (or, the way i drive, 3) is pretty far. i actually think it's a great lakes thing - the closer you are to the lakes, the closer your vowels are to the front of your mouth. it's true in ohio (ever heard a real clevelander talk?), indiana (cammie's accent is similar to yours!), etc. and don't get me started on diane k and her minnesota bullsh*t.

i didn't think i had an accent until i moved to cali and someone asked if i was from the midwest. of course, that could have had something to do with my use of the term "putt-putt."

Got 45% barely Yankee which I guess makes sense since I'm originally from Philly where the southern suburbs border the Mason Dixon line.

my vowels are throaty, so what? they can't be any closer to the front of my mouth...they would freeze in the winter. And THAT is what that is all aboat.

apparently in the civilized world (aka LA), it's "miniature golf." my boss looked at me like i was from pluto when i said "putt-putt." and then she said, "aw, that's cute, i forgot you're from the midwest."

Yeah I've heard putt-putt too. I wouldn't say "mini golf."

48% Dixie. Whatever that means.
