It's interesting how different Anna's daughter was from Anna herself, too. You'd think she'd be ruthless and impossibly snooty since her Mother is basically the queen of the fashion world. Yet she actually seems downright laid back and almost earthy instead!

For what it's worth, I didn't think Anna herself didn't come across as the wicked villain she's been portrayed to be. Cold, yes... and probably the single most career focused person on the planet. But if she were a man she'd be heralded for her genius instead of being labeled frosty and impossible to please.
Completely agreed on every word you said. There was also just something so genuine and artistic in the way Grace sees the fashion world. She redeemed it for me in moments where I was feeling much more like Anna's daughter.

And heh heh, you should post your thoughts on my equal pay post in the JTIS thread I agree, though. If Anna were a man, she would just be another strong man in charge of an empire. But as woman who has a reputation for striving for success without time for pleasantries, and a woman in an industry that constantly contrasts her "non-feminine" behavior against pretty models in pretty dresses doing prettily what they're told at that, she was always going to be hated. That moment when she's talking about choosing her major in college...."What do you hope to do with this? 'Be the editor of Vogue.' And so I did." Such admiration for her.

Oh, I think you'd love it. It's a documentary on the making of the 2007 September Issue of Vogue. You get a behind the scenes look at each step in the process and a bit of a window into Anna Wintour's head.
