Illume

[Sleepless-Child]

So I'm guessing it was also Lindsey's idea that the lyrics of "Illume" were also based on New York? C'mon, this goes on Stevie.

It's a rip-off, obviously. I'm disappointed, kinda
Still, I love Illume. At least, Stevie's lyrics are better...to me.

I was always a fan of sampling. Does anyone know if the original artist got credit at all? If he did, I'm all good with it. But Illume is an awesome song, kinda bummed it's not totally original.

I'll throw it out there, did Ashcroft take from Fleetwood Mac? I would imagine like a lot of Stevie songs it's pretty old. Just musing.

It always drove me nuts too. When I showed a friend of mine the photo of her in the studio with the box of incense on the table in front of her he said, " the bitch had it right in front of her and she still got it wrong." The only thing I could think of is she didn't want to give free promotion to a company.

That really is the only thing that makes sense.

Of course, where Stevie is concerned, things don't always have to make sense, do they? She does kind of live in her own little world

Where is this picture? I must see it... If it's true it makes it that much worse... Oh Stevie...

"Champa" and "Champra" are both acceptable English spellings. Google it.

I love Illume. When I play it, I find the best experience for me, is to crank it all the way up so the windows vibrate. This song is a perfect example of, the louder the better.

Illume #1

Illume #2

Illume #1 is just a CCM.

^^^ That club looks like something that I'd be interested in.

I definitly see HUGE musical connections in the songs Illume vs. New York but dont see any lyrical connections.
