Well that takes dedication! I'm interested in what drove you to feel that strongly. Another perk of this forum: I'm apparently not the only person who feels completely changed by some aspect of Stevie/Mac. It's comforting to hear.

It was everthing I ever wanted to say to her. I started in 1976 when I first heard her sing Rhiannon on the radio and went year by year from there.

I just wrote in a diary the other night of an experience I had in May and that took 11 pages. And that's just from a one hour conversation with some guy.

I once thought of writing a letter to Stevie, explaining how her music helped me through a difficult time, but I never got around to it. And then I lost interest.

Vicfox, I was glad to see your manifesto took years to write. A 64 page in-one-sitting fan letter made me nervous.

I can go crazy with a pen and paper like that, too... I think its amazing that you essentially kept a log to record the progression of your interest in Stevie's life and music.

I do, too, & I'd like to share some of it someday. But I'm too chicken.

I have a letter a started but not finished.I keep thinking she probably hears the same stuff over and over so I wanted to say something besides I'm your biggest fan or whatever lol I want it to be special .. Even if it may not actually make it to her. But I'd like to let her know what an impact she's had on my life with her music and it's helped me through some hard times ect. But I think it's a lovely idea!

Honestly, I do not see how I could have made it through my freshman year of college (aka fall of last year through the spring of this one) without Stevie's music in my life. There was so much drama going on all around me and to be able to escape with my iPod and Stevie's albums, live shows, interviews, etc at night was amazing to me.

... And it helped to keep me from absolutely breaking down and quitting school.

Jannie, you mis-understood me. It wasn't written throughout the years. It probably took me less than a week. I took from memory all the things I wanted to say to her about each song or album that had a great effect on me. But it was actually one line I wrote in that long letter that I convinced myself would not be a good idea to send it.

So Jannie you can get nervous now.

What address are you sending this to?

I tried sending my Stevie letter to an arena on their concert tour- but it came back in the mail, so I'm thinking about sending one to a different address.
