Default Five...

things I am addicted to: older men, my cell phone, Stevie Nicks, my antique typewriter, horses

things I can grab from where I'm sitting: my cell phone, White Teeth by Zadie Smith, my iPod, a glass of cabernet, lavender goat cheese

things I want to do before I die: write something worth reading, seduce a professor, live in Paris and NYC for a year each, fall in love (even if it fails miserably, which I kinda expect), follow Fleetwood Mac or Stevie Nicks around throughout an entire tour

people I want to meet: : Stevie Nicks (again, kinda), F. Scott Fitzgerald, Meryl Streep, e.e. cummings, Woody Allen

websites I visit most often: The Ledge, Facebook, eBay (I'm addicted... NOT good), postsecret.com, textsfromlastnight.com

Two things:

1. Doestrevsky. YES.
2. "write a great feminist 'screw you' song". Perfect.

Oh and I adore Genie. I'm sure you've seen Family Jewels? It's amazing.

And out of curiosity... DNA? What?

Haha you like Doestrevsky and Stevie- we should be bfflz xD

yeah, Gene is like the coolest dude ever. Family Jewels is an awesome show- and Nick is wicked crush-worthy

ok the DNA- at the Vampire Weekend concert, Ezra Koenig was using a white towel to wipe his face with a majority of the night. Half way through, I said to my mom 'i want his DNA'. At the end of the night when the roadies were giving out set lists (I was in the 3rd row) I went up and asked for the towel. It was thrown to me, some guy tried to take it bu let me have it, and after smelling it, when I got home I put it in a baggy and into my freezer. My mom hates that it's taking up space, but i'm not ever until I have the means to do what needs to be done. Between the sweat and saliva, there has to be SOME DNA on it. Lol. It's so sad, but I don't even care - he is one of the most perfect guys I've seen in person

HAHAHAHA wait, I totally love that. I'm obsessed with Vampire Weekend so I totally understand what you're saying. That's what I would do if I had a sweaty Lindsey towel... or Hugh Laurie, or my English teacher....

Trust me, I oh so understand.

lol I know her (kind of). She's a real cutie.

I want to meet and chat with any of the apollo astronauts, though Jim Lovell and Michael Collins sound like the best story tellers. I bet they're so sick of telling the story but I'd just love to chat in general. It would be weird having a conversation where the other person has experienced that. I heard about a friend of Aldrin's telling him about their trip to Italy and him being fascinated cause he'd never been. They wondered how he could be fascinated by that when he'd bbeen to the moon but I guess what's different to you is most interesting.

Before I die I want to live in tokyo and have a holiday home in kenya. And if space tourisms starts up I definitely want to go.

That is very cool! How do you (kind of) know her if you don't mind me asking? Like the list in friends about 5 celebritites...she's been top of mine since Torn. The real bonus is that her albums are great too! White Liles Island especially, a criminally underrated record. Anyone reading this thread should check the album out and see just how talented she is.

I'm excited about her new album in October, and not only because it means I get to see more of her on tv looking hot!

Oh I said kind of because I've met her twice I think at general social evenings, we have mutual friends I guess. So like we'd say hello if we saw each other in the street but I don't know her on any personal level. I love her ex Daniel Johns cause I love silverchair but I wasn't going to ask her anything about him. She's really really nice though when I've met her. I'm from Scotland originally but lived in London for a while after school and university finished and I basically hung around the people I knew from before which includes a lot of those socialite types. I don't really get that scene and felt kind of out of place (which is why I jumped at the chance to come to Aussie with my bf) but that was when I "kind of" knew her She was nice though, not stuck up like a lot of those people.
