I was at the early-on-in-the-tour Hartford RAL show. She did open up with GDW, true. Hmmm, what else do I remember? I remember that she had a little set up of tambourines and shake-y things at her feet, she commented on the fact that if she's not careful she'll either trip on the tambourines or her monitors.
She introduced Bobby Martin as, 'the new man in her life' and made a swooning gesture. My friend's and I all took that to mean that they were an item, but now I think it was just a jokey introduction. I enjoyed the show, although the sound was pretty crappy where we were sitting, which was WAY up high and to the side of stage right.
Oh yeah, lot's of shawls...more than I remember from any other of the RAL shows I saw that year. She had the 'tent' set up for her dressing room back then (it was a little room/tent on the Bobbye Hall-side of the stage that had heavy curtains as doors where she would pop in and out to change shawls and do other things that made her seem like she had more energy coming out than what she had when she went in).
