I don't know if this is true...but I read about the recording of Lindsey's Soundstage. They (producers?) had him sing each song twice so that they could spice and dice...or whatever.

Anyhow, listening to each song twice was interesting, but it was hard to react (as an audience) to the second take. The guy did a review on ? Amazon ? or someplace. He said that Stevie and Lindsey weren't ... comfortable and joking. It was a little strained. He thought they could have used more of Stevie singing duet on his Soundstage.

Either way, it's a great way to promote the music and reach a different/broader audience.

The reviewer also said that it is good to be on tour and then follow a year or so later with extra material to stay in the audience's minds...so maybe that is the reason for the delay from taping to the DVD or airing it on PBS.

Either way, I am glad that the Ebay auction wasn't a phony and there is gonna be a Soundstage to look forward to.

Hey, I wasn't knocking the bootleg, not at all. I was just trying to say that unless you were either there, or have a high quality recording, you can't really judge properly.

That's really not what I heard. When is Jason coming back, he can shed some light on this.

It is a good thing that Stevie has been losing weight and looks great. (we all know cameras put about 10-15 lbs on a person), so she is gonna look and sound great I am sure.

hmm, well, if this comes out in 2008, yet another reason to tour, but hopefully she will throw some gems in there.

It would be great if Lindsey was a surprise guest on her Soundstage like she was on his and finally do Frozen Love or something.

EQueen,

As for tickets-you got me. I found nothing on Sounstage's web-page nor Nicksfix, etc. I seem to remember that when Lindsey recorded his Soundstage session, some tickets were made available to the public/fans but I can't remember how they were distributed. Can't believe it was that long ago. I'd call the theater and see what is up. If you have a Citibank AAdvantage card you might try the RSVP number listed on Private Pass page for the tickets that they comped: RSVP: 1-800-897-1761, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm EST. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

And, as for the friends-maybe Vanessa Carlton since Stevie did a cameo at her show here in L.A. last summer. But I'm thinking more along the lines of Chris Isaak and probably Petty and Lindsey will show but know for sure that Henley can't because the Eagles are playing the Nokia Theater here in L.A. the entire week of starting Oct. 18th. So no Henley Leather and Lace.

Maybe Sheryl Crow too but that's a big maybe as she also is playing here in L.A. two days later on Oct. 27th. I had hoped that Stevie would show for Sheryl's L.A. concert as the concert is an all "Girlfrenzy" show with tons of female artists and bands. It's an all day thing starting at 2:30 p.m. If Sheryl does Soundstage, then maybe Stevie will return the favor and do a number or two at Girlfrenzy. Here's to speculation!

If the rumours of a Soundstage performance are true, hopefully it'll go a long way towards repairing the damage caused by the Super Bowl Stand Back performance.

I am ecstatic about this soundstage taping!!! I love that these additions to her career keep coming up. However, I must admit that my excitement will reach it's epitome when she's inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!!!!!
