i think that is meaning enough. isn't it a blessing that you figured out that in order to be happy, you had to move somewhere else? i mean, you could have just stayed there and killed yourself.

I can't remember if I ever asked you if you've been to Shreveport. I seem to remember strandinthewind saying he had, and he kind of backed up my opinion that it's awful.

It is, and I probably would've killed myself if I had stayed there another six months. Have I ever told the story of how I left?

They should have picked you as a thrower, I would think you could run okay, but probably not throw for ****.
Okay, I'll stop now. I was a bit of a bully in my young years...until just now....
actually, I can't do either very well.

I hated high school. I had my 10 year reunion last june and i didn't go. Why would I? I see everyone I care to see.

high school is so small, and you don't realize that until you get out of it. Everyone and their little cliques, and I never really fit in. I had friends, don't get me wrong, but I never really opened up until after I graduated. I was also in band so that didn't help although I have to say, I miss being in band ...and band camp

high school HAS to be hard. NOw, I just go to work, and come home. Then, I went to high school, studied, ALSO went to work. It's double duty. I hated it. I also hated college. But you didn't ask about that

basically anything that requires me to study and interferes with my sleeping ritual, I ain't down with

Man, I'm young. I have yet to have my 10 year Reunion. That's not until 2010.

i was on the drumline too! i played snare. look out, bitches.

oh, and it sucked. i was placed on snare as a freshman, which was prestigious, but being a 14 year old girl on a squad with 4 18 year old guys? that sucked. i never want to hear about anyone's itchy balls ever again. ever.

I was also placed on the snare line as a freshman! And that was like the first time that had happened for a girl at my school Luckily though there was a good mix of male and female...no itchy balls talk. Though the dude I stood next to smelled like a combo of B.O., cigarettes, bad cologne and pot.

Gawd I loved snare...I miss it.

I played flute, too. And alto sax, as you know, the fingerings are the same. Alto sax was better, and while I was like, 4th chair flute, I could be first chair alto sax.

See, I kinda hated college. High school was sooo easy for me(and yes, I was taking college prep classes), that, 95% of the time, I could do-almost nothing-, and skate with B's. Getting all A's might've cut into the party schedule a little too much. College was SUCH a financial strain for me(I worked, sometimes TWO jobs, while attending full time), that I think that's the main reason I don't think fondly of college. I had to work my ASS off in college.

which is why as soon as I finished my 2 year Drafting/Civil Engineering degree (I had a headstart since I was already enrolled while the rest of the Senior class of '88 were still in high school. Btw, I received an Associates in Applied Science) I immediately enrolled in Tech.School for another degree program - Quality Control/Non-Destructive Testing (Associates in Applied Science - Minor in Mathematics)

I worked the whole time I attended college/Tech.School and had much more a good time than I ever did in high school. I paid all the loans off minus one - so I am happy to be financially free of that burden.

I really struggled in undergrad too, so I know the feeling. I went back to school when I was 28 and worked full time while being a full time student. It was really a nightmare. I actually love graduate school, though. It's like a whole new world- classes I actually enjoy and have interest in (except Research Methods, of course).
