I had a couple of crushes on girls when I was a teenager and in my early 20s, and I clung desperately to those crushes as a sign that I wasn't gay -- that I was "just maybe, hopefully, only bisexual."
When I finally admitted to myself that those crushes were completely devoid of any sexual feelings, and that the sexual feelings I did have were always directed at other guys, I gave up on the Great Bi Hope and accepted the fact that I'm a big ol' 10-on-the-Kinsey-Scale 'mo.
