The only reason anyone is this extreme in expressing their horror at the idea of gay sex is that they think about it constantly. Well adjusted people don't expend that much energy thinking about the mechanics of other people's sex lives.

When I read stories like this I reverse the situation in my head. What if Richard Simmons went on record as saying that he didn't like black people, their lifestyle was wrong and he didn't want to associate with any of them? Would a lame ass apology make it all better? Hardly. I wish that GLAAD had balls like the NAACP does.

Do you really think that all people who are uncomfortable with gay people are gay? I mean, I would think many of them are, I guess, but all of them? Isn't it possible that some straight guys could think it was yucky too? I would think it's possible, judging from some conversations I've had or whatever. Not saying this a-hole isn't gay, but...

Someone who goes so far as to make a public statement that is this extreme - yeah. There's a problem there. A big problem.
This guy isn't just uncomfortable. He is so disgusted and freaked out and over the top, that he can't help but make a spectacle of himself. All kinds of sex acts are kind of gross to me, but the amount of time they are in my head or I talk about them? Seconds a year.

The idea of having sex with a woman is gross to me. But women hit on me lots, and I am flattered. I know they're not gonna rape me. I know I can say no. I'm not afraid to be in a room alone with one. This guy is all kinds of fukced up. What would people think of me if everytime someone mentioned het sex on the ledge I freaked and said how sick and disgusting it was? Or that I hated straight people?

No, this guy was over the top and way out of line, (although it said they asked him, right? He didn't just suddenly for no reason out of nowhere start talking) but I've heard milder forms of similar sentiments, and I don't think it was because the person is gay, that is what I was asking about.

And I think mikeshmike is right about GLAAD and NAACP comparison thingy.

I'm curious about this double standard where gay people can say that heterosexual sex is gross to them but a straight man will be hung from the highest tree if he said that the idea of two men having sex or the idea of having sex with a man is gross to them. This guy did much more by saying he hates them and doesn't want to be around them but even if he just said that gay sex is gross to him he'd still be in trouble.
