Okay. I can't tell how this thread got confusing, but it's all very clear to me.

Yes, i am a hooker. Note my lavish lifestyle.
game, set, match!

and - personally, I am blaming the confusion on Paula because she is a gay baiting projectile kicker!

And ok - bread IS baked...but I'm sorry Toast is not a "baked good" No way.

When I see little old ladies selling toast at a bake sale, maybe I'll change my mind.

toast is totally a baked good, you nutbag. and since it's co-listed above with bread, it is totally legit. besides, have you ever seen english muffins at a bake sale?

Sure...English muffin bake sales are aplenty around here And at last month's church social/bagel bake sale - we got enough to buy the ladies a butter churn. So they can put it on their toast. While not selling it at a bake sale.

Well I already told Paula how I feel about the "baked goods" distinction....

I hope none of you are serious about this - because I'm just having fun...just to clear things up. Because it seems that some think I'm "wrong" and apparently stupid for not including toast in the "baked goods" realm

then why aren't we arguing that bread shouldn't be on the list?

Hello, bread precedes everything else. If it weren't for bread, nobody would have ever come up with muffins and rolls. Come on now, give the bread/toast a chance here. It deserves to be on this list and it deserves to win.

Poor bread/toast. Like Amber said...totally unappreciated.

Oh if I were going to call you a name, I'd use something stronger than brat

Bear with me, it was my first attempt at typing that way

toast is totally baked!!!!!

TO WIT:

bake (bāk) pronunciation

v., baked, bak·ing, bakes.

v.tr.

1. To cook (food) with dry heat, especially in an oven.
2. To harden or dry (something) by subjecting to heat in or as if in an oven: bake bricks.

v.intr.

1. To cook food with dry heat.
2. To become hardened or dry by or as if by having been subjected to the heat of an oven.

ergo, it does not HAVE to be in an oven to be considered "baked," it just has to have been cooked with a dry heat, which a toaster does.

toast has been vindicated!!!!!!

Just been down for Thursday breakfast and it was whale meat - definitely only works with Toast - all that fancy high carb stuff ruins the taste!
