Biggest Selling Albums Worldwide for 2006

Can I just say that I am shocked at the amount Jewel has sold. Less than 305,000 worldwide

I wouldn't be suprised if Warner drops her after this.....

Tom Petty hasn't sold that many more though...
I have to say Jewel isn't really a big commodity outside of the States.
The previous album 0304 - the pop one - obviously really backfired and a lot of fans deserted her.
It's a shame her new album hasn't done better though, it's the best thing she's done in a long time.

Yes, I too am shocked about the Tom Petty album selling so few - it really is an awesome record! My personal favourite of Tom's.

I have to disagree about Jewel though. She is a huge star outside of the States - all of her previous albums have done extremely well, but this new album has flopped big time. I don't think I even sold one copy....

I do agree with the desertion of fans though - 0304 was a big mistake.....

I didn't think it was that bad - a big departure, sure, but overall, it still has alot of good moments.....

That track (I forget the name) that she wrote originally for Holly Valance though is a piece of **** - serious garbage....

Oh okay. Maybe it's just the UK. I don't think any of her albums have sold anything much here. In fact very few people know who she is on this side of the pond. I'm pretty sure it's the same in Europe.

I know that here and Australia she does pretty well - Im sure most of her albums have gone top 10. But I don't think the new one even made top 40....

It was only recently released. I know Aguilara's was too, but she's a lot more mainstream than Tom these days. I think Tom's is selling a respectable amount.
