I'm not saying he did it, but where is the brother in all of this? Has he ever spoken about it? If they were both sleeping in the basement that night (which is weird to me, considering they had this big, beautiful house; they had to have more than two bedrooms!), how is it that he wasn't awakened by whomever murdered her? I know he was only 9 at the time, but he's 19 now... and in everything I have ever seen re: this case, I've never seen him issue any kind of statement or anything. It's almost as if he doesn't exist!

as I recall, the brother DID hear stuff and was apparently talking about it but soon afterward, he sorta disappeared offa the radar screen. As for the kids sleeping in the basement, thats news to me, I thought JonBenet was taken to the basement?

I just found that out today; I saw a thing about it this afternoon on A&E. Apparently, when they returned home from that party, Jonbenet and her brother were taken downstairs to go to sleep. ???? If that is true, it makes no sense to me why their bedrooms would be down there, considering they're clearly not wanting for extra rooms (it was a 15 rm house, I believe).

Yeah, I think the kids' bedrooms were downstairs.
