I appreciate everyones a little dubious about this list of titles - myself included.

Lindsey does tend to copy himself though:

* Dreams is also on out of the cradle as 'Street of Dreams'.

* 'Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind' was mentioned in shuffle riff.

* There's 'play in the rain' on go insane and 'surrender the rain' on out of the cradle.

* He even rips off a large section of lyrics from 'You do or you don't' and lobs it in 'bleed to love her'


I agree about being a bit short for a CD album. The LP's were restricted to 45 minutes, so you would expect something about the length of Out of the cradle!?

11 songs on a record that is a unity is fine for me. Alot of albums are just too long in my opinion. (how many ledgies dissed SYW for being too long? Stop being so opportune)

Shut us down was given for the movie and Back then I clearly have read that it was from his forthcoming soloalbum. I am pleased to see it on the tracklist and I'm curious how it fits in a concept. The fact that a gem like SGCYM is on an official release is more than logic: If the theme of the record is interpreted well by the lucky owner of this copy, it fits perfectly. By the way, I really want to hear a good quality recording of that anthem. DOR is the most wanted song by ledgies from GOS. He clearly recognized that himself. I'm personally not so fond of Try for the sun and I am waiting has never been released, only in a liveversion.

I'm sure we will find some GOStracks on his next one: they were just too damn good.

Personally I'm more interested in the (likely) musical self-quotations this time around. Will we get another piece in the "Big Love" > "Doing What You Can" > "Big Love" (acoustic) > "Miranda" continuum? How about another guitar solo in the vein of "I'm So Afraid"/"Tango In The Night"/"Murrow"? Not that it bothers me much, because so far the atmospheres on those "recycled" tracks have differed notably to me and that's what matters to me the most.

I can't even imagine the "acidpissing" (good term that, Gerald) when we actually hear the music on the album. But maybe at least I should hear it before I start speculating any further.

I agree with you, Gaius. But Don't stop speculating. I've tried to survive as a ledgie all this time and now that we can use our fantasy in interesting times I don't want you to bite your tongue. But let's use our fantasy to provide some nice foreplay so our boners will be gigantic on october 3rd. I don't want to read Ï'm dissappointed because there are just 11 tracks. We waited so long, I just don't understand that this tracklist only can put people down. Nor the fact that His masterful Shut Us down is on this record is considered copying from yourself. It was written for this album, not for that boring movie.

At least we're facing the best albumtitle in FM-related releases since decades.
