I did not think this was even a topic that was discussed on the open forum for some reason... I mean I dont give a crap, write whatever you want but I remember a few years ago there being a big uproar about it, like it is some big secret or something.

Cant say I ever read much of it and the stuff I did certainly had no mention of Kristen as a devil woman.

My neighbor started a fanfiction yahoogroup which had quite a few subscribers. I was a member at one point (shudders at the memory), no idea if it still exists. Sodascouts was a member too, maybe she knows if it's still around?

Some really scarey stuff going on in those stories. I read several that involved Kristen Buckingham being killed in some fashion.

I don't see anything wrong in fanfiction, writing is always a good thing, IMO and I like to read some of them, related to some movies or series I like, sometimes there are even some good ideas in them. I've also written a couple, it's funny to try to be original on paths set in stone.

I've never understood why, or even how fanfic could be written about real people. If you're going to write about characters in a show or something, I could see that. I used to be active in the XFiles fanfic world... Certain stories were good, others, not so good. Most of it was written about Mulder nailing Scully, or whatever, since philes are a bunch of pervs.

But, yeah, real people fic? Never got it. Never will.

I don't see any harm in fan fiction. I mean, it can't be any worse than the band's apparent affection for release date fiction, or the "we're touring next year" fiction.

I think it's more to do with a character inspired by the person. Because most of the time we [writers] don't actually know the person, we're writing about the person we perceive them to be.
A character based on a real person, just VERY heavily based on them.

Does that even make sense?
