Pity party - yippee!

Well, I woke up at 3 AM this morning to the sound of my fridge making electrocution noises and smoke coming out the back of it. Of course, I just went shopping Fri. nite, so it's full of food. Made a call to a 24-hour appliance repair place. By the time the guy showed up, fixed it, and left, it was 6:30 AM. $200 and a new compressor relay box thingie later, it's working again.

Roommates suck. I'd rather spend what I have to spend to live alone than put up with anyone's crap.

Well, I've been looking around at apartments. Unfortunately, I can't afford to go too much higher than $500 a month. Any suggestions?

Thanks. I'm sorry for you, too. I guess you really do know what it feels like. I'm trying to be all positive for my friend - cause it's an amazing job and I really AM so proud of her. But the little selfish part of me is just miserable. I moved to this city just over 3 years ago - and I truly know that the major reason I love it so much is because she's been such a great friend and we have such great times. We just clicked. And she is the glue that holds many of us all together - the reason we all know each other and get together. I'm so afraid that when she goes we'll all just never hang out anymore. Hopefully when she leaves you and your other friends will still hang out though I know it won't be the same.

I know it must be really hard to be positive for her. I tried that with mine and I was just very transparent in my fakeness. I generally suck at pretending to be anything, though.

I'm still working on my 16.9 ounce bottle of misery.
