I just saw it being the huge Jodie Foster fan that I've always been ..I see the reviews have been very mixed but Mick LaSalle the critic for the SF Chronicle whom I respect gave it a man standing on the seat applauding bascially an 'A' so it is getting some good reviews.Jodie was awesome. Alot of critics carped that it was similar to Panic room but her character is different in this. She begins the film aleady emotionally very distraught and then just keeps going until the force of her performance reaches operatic proportions and you can't take your eyes off of her.IMO she joins Bette Davis and Barabara Stanwyck as one of cinemas all time great actresses who can turn mediocre melodrama into a mesmerizing experience by force of her own charisma and nearly superhuman acting technique. Is it better than Silence of the Lambs ? no but I'd recommend it for fans of great star acting.
