I echo Daniel's sentiments... all in all, a really good show. She seemed to hold her notes well and clearly enjoyed being around her old stomping grounds again. If I haven't said it before, I'm loving the GDW ad libs on this tour!

Daniel, I haven't heard from Connie yet until she returns home, so it was great to read your review! I've been wondering what her concert was like! Did you get to meet up together, and enjoy a drink? I know she was looking forward to that. I'm glad the weather cooled down for you as well. Thank you for posting!

Last night's show was really special for me because I attended it with 2 new friends, one of which is 27 and it was his first Stevie show!

It was a beautiful evening, and the place was really packed by the time Stevie came on. It really must have been one of the better attended shows on this tour because it took quite awhile to finally get out of the parking lot.
The crowd was very loud and appreciative, and most people stayed until the very end.

I myself enjoyed the show, but I must say Stevie was very quiet during the first couple of songs. Just thank you's after the songs were over. She seemed really tired or sad, I couldnt tell which. After awhile she began to loosen up, and the show really improved. She began to get chattier and relax, and finally got into the performance. Waddy was on fire, he really adds to the show with his playing. The sound was turned up it seemed, much more than the last time she did Concord solo in 2001.

I have to say she did a fabulous job with the Circle Dance, she really seems to come alive when she sings something that really connects with her. The audience, for the most part, really got into it. It turned out to be my favorite song of the night because it was something new and fresh, and she obviously invested alot of emotion into it.

I loved the photo's that were shown during Landslide, the ending of Gold Dust Woman was great like everyone said, and Rock N Roll was also definitely a highlight. I wasnt sure how she was going to pull off that vocal, but there was that voice. When Stevie belts it out, it always leaves me amazed. She hold back alot these days to save her voice I presume.

Beauty was also a highlight. She delivered a flawless vocal and the drama of the song made it a perfect closer.

My new friend loved the show by the way! It was my 17th Stevie show, and I was glad to be there to share it with my new friend.

Yes! I met up with Connie and her daughter before the show. We had a very good time catching up. I had forgotten how much her hair resembles Stevie's from the Sorcerer video

Anyways I was at the concert last night and must say all the reviews from you guys are pretty spot on.
Though first I must mention I LOVE Concord Pavillion, I was really happy with my seats as they were way closer then I thought being 106 row E, I thought there would be like a pit section and then a step up and then the 100 section, but nope its all kinda on the same floor

Lucky me I did have an aisle seat (I could stand an dance and being really short it was a blessing)!

First though i must say something, just b/c ppl don't stand during certain songs doesn't mean we arn't Stevie Fans, some of us just can't do the stand and dance routine for two-hours, esp my mom who was with me I think she was exhausted from having to stand so much, so please ppl don't put others down for their lack of physical ability.

Onward the concert did rock, Stevie is such an amusing personality when solo, I loved her intro of the one guy "he made sure I at least got on stage, and that was a BIG deal..." and "the person who teachs us all our lines b/c it's important to her and we call her Sharronna"

R&R was a fun song, and my dad was grooving to that, I don't think he thought Stevie had it in her

My mom came away re-discovering B&B and HAEWAFY, both great last night.
Sorcerer was very good, but she really needed to give her little story before the song, the crowd would've been a bit perkier then.

She did look a bit tired and i often wonder why if she loves the bay Area so much she doesn't schedual a bit of a break in the tour so she could enjoy it.

There were quite a few Stevie dressers there, in fact one guy dressed as stevie with a boa and top hat, kinda a fun aptmospher to be in.

Vanessa Carlton gained some new fans, and my fave part was when she started to play 1000 miles and the cheering broke out, she stopped and said "yes I'm that girl..." She really is quite good, but must master some stage presence, or showmanship, but she is touring with the best for that

Oh and Jana, most of the time she is fine, but on Landslide and one or two others she is just a bit too loud and slightly out of sync, I don't want to be able to single out the background singers, I want them to harmonize.

Otherwise great show, the graphics were wonderful, one question though at the begning of landslide Stevie has a pic where she is kneeling in front of some guy who is that? I thought it rather odd she had some clips of mac but not of her and Lindsey (it is their song isn't it?) The one with Christine was cute though

There was a photo of Lindsey in the montage when I saw it...he is playing his guitar with his big fro. It is very early in the footage..there is also the one with Stevie and her brother. So, Lindsey is in there!

It was a fun show, but nothing really stood out for me. I had a lot of fun dancing and seeing all the Sulamith Wulfing art displayed. But it kind of seemed like the Vegas show back in May. I dunno...maybe I'm getting a little burned out?

Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You was dedicated to a local guy, her "best friend" from her College of San Mateo days... For the life of me, I cannot remember his name, something Fogle.

Landslide was dedicated to Vanessa Carlton.

The Edge walk was business as usual, though a guy had his little girl on his shoulders. When Stevie saw her, she put both her hands to her face and gave the cutest "awwww" expression.

Rock and Roll was a nice treat, but it wasn't on fire as much I thought it would be.

But I won't complain too much. I didn't score front row seats. I was perched on Ticketmaster for the past three weeks, but couldn't get anything better than 7th row. But it was still a most excellent seat. Right in the center.

Stevie has received alot of criticism for this current tour set list.
Her reviews in Los Angeles were less than kind. Said she needed to take
more risks..etc.
