She looks so beautiful these days. I saw her on the cover of some magazine the last time I was at my mother's and she looks more stunning with age. She gets props for doing a photoshoot and having them not airbrush her wrinkles and liver spots, too.

Ryder always comes across as a twit (though a good actress), but I think Lange is a smart cookie. I remember reading an article she wrote about the Monks of Nepal and being taken aback by how thoughtful and articulate she is.

And her voice? Is incredibly sexy.

That reminds me of one time my dad made a mistake and said his life insurance policy was $15 million dollars, which he soon corrected to a much lesser amount. After she picked her jaw up off of the floor, my mother, not missing a beat, said in her best lilt something to the effect of "well that's better because otherwise let me make you some tea"

I was watching this movie too. Sally Field is one of the greatest actresses of all time IMO. You guys mentioned it being a book before...I had no idea of this. Who is the author? I'd be interested in reading it for sure.
