We have a new baby

though i must first state that i am a "dog person" - i almost ended up with a cat last year right after i moved. i'm out all day and i figured that a dog would be just waaay too lonely, so the idea of getting a cat crossed my mind when i saw an advert for one from a newly-deceased neighbor (i live in a retirement community ). when i went to visit the cat, it had wedged itself behind the toilet and wasn't about to show himself. one of the other betties took it and he has come around nicely.

the moral of that story is: congrats, i'm sure that after he gets used to the sights and smells of your place he'll be fine.
