They got a big up front. It amounts to a corporate gig.
Sounds like a corporate to me... It's entirely possible it is an agreement with the tour promoters to do this, after all they did agree to extend the dates last year to help the promoters make back the revenue from lost ticket sales.

Either that or Stevie and John have a new habit

Maybe they are having a few senior moments and have replaced the coke and brandy binges of old with bingo nights?

Thumbs down Email I got from the Fan Club....

Fleetwood Mac will be playing two nights, July 17 & 18, at the Chumash
Casino Resort in Santa Ynez near Santa Barbara. This room has a
capacity of only 1,300. For each of the shows we have held fifty (50) seats
per night, 100 in total, for the fan club which are going on sale on
Wednesday June 30th at 9am PT (limit two tickets per fan club member).

The tickets are $145.00 and are non-refundable. They are not in the
first few rows but every seat in the house is great.

For more information on this show, click the link below:

So, I guess the first few rows are for the corporate cats? PPFFTT!!

I'd go to the Heart show. It's closer and it's a change in pace (I.E.-Not another rehashed FM set). Then again, you could set a new record for most Mac shows in one tour...

I have to go see the Mac because I have a front row ticket and it seems to be the last date of the tour. That is a must go see!

I can't say I care too much about why they chose to do this...we'd all KILL to see them in a 1,300 seater ! I'm just jealous of those who can go! Yeah, it sucks the front is for the richie-rich's, but that makes it seem like it is indeed some kind of corporate thing (which they/Stevie have certainly done before) and the suggestion that maybe one of them knows someone with the casino (I think Mick most likely) is a good possibility, IMO.

Snyder said that more entertainment has been booked through next summer, but that the tribe - which manages the casino itself - is waiting until next July, when the 106-room hotel is due to open, to bring in more Leno-like names.
Fleetwood Mac a Leno-like name

Good to hear we are on the elite list.

I think the whole point of the gig is to bring attention to the casino that a regular joe blow band wouldn't and couldn't do.... Hence the reason for booking a huge band like Fleetwood Mac. Any amount paid to the band by the casino... even if it's a lose to the casino still would benefit the place.... because of the national attention it would receive. Would you have heard or been interested in the place otherwise??? No!

So corporate gig?... Don't think so. Strategic move by the casino? Think so!
