I love both the original Chain and Keep Me There and would have been more than happy with both of them as individual songs (though I suppose they wouldn't have both been able to fit on Rumours). Like everyone I love the final version of The Chain but I do think they used up two really good songs to create a truly great one. It was a brave move to 'throw away' the Keep Me There vocals- I love the bluesy feel it had. |
