Well that is true.

A nice reissue program for the Then Play On to Heroes era is desperately needed.

I'm still glad to finally have the 4cd version though. I just wish the Mac back catalogue was given as much love and care as other major acts (Beatles, Pink Floyd, etc. etc)

Too bad they didn't include the original (deluxe box)
scratch and sniff CD inserts. I forget the exact names
of the fragrances, but from memory...

Stevie ~ Flowers
Christine ~ Onions
Mick ~ Moth Balls
John ~ Soup
Lindsey ~ Sweat

This.

If they're so intent on not giving us unreleased bonus tracks then they should at least remaster them as 2fers, the running times on most of those albums would accomodate that.

It's disappointing to hear about the cheesy digipak packaging. I actually like plastic jewel cases, hate that cardboard stuff, it's not like you can replace it later (instead of buying another one which I'm sure is the real reason they do this but hide behind the eco friendly line).

I bought this today because I didn't actually have lossless versions of the unreleased Lindsey songs and it was going cheap in Tesco. It's in one of those quad-CD jewel cases and there's a fairly hefty (by modern standards) booklet with all the names listed for each line-up as well as a bunch of pictures of each of them.

I'll probably give it a spin later tonight to hear the alternate versions (which don't match with the track listing yes?) and Stevie and Christine's unreleased tracks that I've never heard.

A while back, we figured it all out. Here's the thread:

The import version is listed on Amazon. It's cheaper to go through Amazon UK than Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/25-Years-Chain...ears+The+Chain

Question

Does the booklet fit into the quad jewel case (if so, then I guess I wouldn't need to keep the cardboard outersleeve)?
