Yeah I don't think the article told us anything we didn't already know... even Lindsey didn't know he really just kept saying he was hopeful they'll do something. I think that they will, but also at this point, nothing surprises me with this band in terms of them getting back together/not getting back together.

What I really think Fleetwood Mac should do is make another record and tour. Then the band can retire, and Stevie and Lindsey can finally release Buckingham Nicks and tour together behind that knowing they've come "full circle." (And Lindsey won't have to mention it in interviews anymore)

I'm not really surprised by any of this. Both Stevie and Lindsey appear to be happy/content with their solo careers. I just don't think they have any desire to do another FM tour, album, EP, whatever.

Sucks for Mick and John though.

Well at least Lindsey seems open to something with Fleetwood Mac. I think he's at a point where he's enjoying being back in the band... he just wants to get his solo stuff out of the way first.

Who really cares at this point what they do solo or as a group effort. It's just not relevant any more. Do what you want, the world doesn't care!

Stevie still tours, Lindsey still tours... the band still puts on arena shows...

I think some of the songs off the last few records Lindsey has put out especially are terribly relevant. I don't think I would've even understood or "gotten" half the stuff on Under the Skin without the loss of my father. That record is now part of the soundtrack of that time in my life... So really to say the band or Stevie, or Lindsey solo for that matter, are incapable of making music that's relevant is asinine.

But I think I get what you mean in that they should all just do whatever because the world isn't paying attention?

It's not MAJOR news that FM is not touring, or what they are doing solo or as a group. People(most people) are not waiting on the edge of their seats for THE NEWS. Of course they still make relevant music, at least to some folks. I'm one of those people. My comment was off the cuff, and of course I realize on a FM message board, members would want to know if they were touring or not. But it's not 1977 any more!

The desire it there. Lindsey mentions it often. It's nothing new; Fleetwood Mac has been a juggling act between solo careers for the last twenty years.

I hope an album comes before a tour. Tours are fleeting. Albums are permanent.

I would be happy to see a killer album as a trade off for no more tours.

Not at all realistic. The money is with touring. If that was ever an option, I could've seen them doing that in 1994, with just Chris and Billy.

But tours are profitable. Albums are not.

I never thought I'd hear myself say this but I really don't care if they tour or not unless they've got something new to say.

The last tour just seemed to be like the one before and without a new album I won't be shelling out my hard earned cash. Tickets for major rock bands now are a fortune and given the travel costs for me to get up to London I end up spending at least £150 so I need a bit more than what I've heard before.

Oh, we'll get you there. We'll just start rumors about a certain someone and you'll shell out more than 150 [I don't know how to make a pound sign], believe me.
