Dave Stewart Producing Fleetwood Mac EP...

If this EP happens and Dave is the producer, he needs to sit Lindsey and Stevie down and tell them that they Have to work together. No more of Stevie coming in after months of work has been done on the album. Neither one of them need to bring in songs they have already worked on. It needs to be material they write together.

I agree. Wholeheartedly. That was, I think, one of the primary issues with SYW. Hopefully that won't be a problem this time if an EP/LP/Whatever happens, because Lindsey will be promoting longer than Stevie will (presumably) and I doubt they would dream of going into the studio without him.

I think if Dave were to be involved in a future Mac project, that's exactly what would happen. It seems to me that he's good at breaking artists of their habits, and gets them to work in different ways. He definitely got Stevie to scrap her way of doing things, and Dave got in on the creative ground floor of Stevie's song building. It seems Dave likes to start with a blank slate, and just see where the music takes off to. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but the thought of Dave even producing a 6 song Mac EP is terribly exciting to me.
