Don't know how familiar you are with M&P, but "fat like Mama Cass" is a line from their song Creeque Alley. I don't think Jonadalar was saying Adele is as fat as Mama Cass was (she isn't), just quoting the line and saying how nice it is to see artists who have made it on vocal talent and don't conform to certain starndards of beauty (although I think Adele is lovely).

At least, that's what I took from it. I'm obviously a huge fan of M&P and I adore Adele, so I hope there was no derisive intention.
