I think she could do it in the studio, but she would never sing it in concert.

As much as I loved the article and the excellent questions, I must admit my enthusiasm has been tempered by the inclusion of "Annabel Lee." It's a crap song, and all of the "minaret" solos in the world cannot salvage it. So if this is considered to be a benchmark for the rest of the album... . I sincerely hope Annabel Lee gets bumped from the roster, or, at best, becomes a bonus track on iTunes. I'm actually interested in the Twilight-inspired song... and it's kinda funny that I postulated that her album should be titled Twilight in another thread... I can't help but think that it will be thematically similar to "The Nightmare" with all of the gothic battle imagery- "well, she wants him to stand up and win... but she said, 'oh baby, you cannot walk away from this battle with the vampire...'"
I'm not getting my hopes up about China Doll because if it's not on the record, I will be bitterly disappointed. I agreee with you on Annabel Lee. With so many wonderful demos out there, why record that??? Sorry, I just don't it's a good song. But perhaps the Dave/Stevie/Glenn incarnation may have some worth.
