So why didn't you have a date tonight?

I should clarify-- it's not as much "playing with my food before I eat it" as it is... I donno. I'm just good at finding the balance between interested enough to keep interest but still super hard to get.

I'm not looking for a "long term" thing with the older ones-- well, depending on how much older. 25+ are definitely out of that category. Typically, any other "relationships" are still much more than the physical-- I have a lot of very close friendships with the older men of the past. I am aware the the age difference will continue to be a problem for me if I ever do want something more serious, but for now, I would much rather have outstanding conversations and a casual thing with someone significantly older than me.... instead of seriously someone my age and only enjoy the consistency of it, not the person himself.

People never guess I'm seventeen, and I sure don't feel this young. It's an awkward place to be.
