Your name

Brought up in the "I wish" thread. Have your parents ever told you they were going to give you a different name? Or what your name would have been if you had been born the opposite sex? Do you wish your name was different, and if so, what name would you choose?

My mom was going to name me Jennifer. No offense to any Jennifers here, but I am not a Jennifer. Def. not a Jenny either.

I was named after my grandfather, who was Pavel, which is Paul. If I were a boy I would have been Paul. The woman typing up my birth certificate glanced quickly at my name & put me down as a boy - needless to say, my parents had to have that changed. I am, and always have been, a female, thank you very much.

I like my name - not that common, but not bizarre either. I thin kI'll keep it.
