The Eagles and Dixie Chicks have been signed to headline the first concerts at the new Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles.

Hurray for Eagles & Chicklets!

The Nokia Theatre L.A. Live is a 7,100 seat venue for live performances located in downtown Los Angeles within the new L.A. Live sports, residential and entertainment district, located across the street from Staples Center and adjacent to the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Why do they keep building new theaters right in the thick of downtown? Who the hell wants to drive into that cauldron?
