Eagles & Dixie Chicks Together
Eagles And Chicks Live!
Updated 09:20 PDT Tue, Aug 07 2007 The Eagles and Dixie Chicks have been signed to headline the first concerts at the new Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. The two acts will perform at a pair of grand opening concerts October 18 and 20. The shows will be the only U.S. performances by both artists this year. Tickets for both shows go on sale August 13 through Ticketmaster. The Nokia Theatre L.A. Live is a 7,100 seat venue for live performances located in downtown Los Angeles within the new L.A. Live sports, residential and entertainment district, located across the street from Staples Center and adjacent to the Los Angeles Convention Center. The 27 acre complex will also include The Ritz Carlton Residences at L.A. Live, a 54-story, 1001 room convention headquarters hotel; Club Nokia, a 2200 capacity live music venue; a 14-screen movie theatre; broadcast facilities for ESPN and additional entertainment, restaurant and office space. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This would be a perfect time for Stevie to make an appearance... rbs |

A note to Republicans...
DON'T GO TO THIS SHOW! They'll only piss you off, and frankly, we don't want to hear you bitch about how you "wish they'd only sing and keep that other crap to themselves," even though you shelled out $70 to see that C&W tour Sean Hannity pimped out earlier this summer (boy, has Charlie Daniels become irrelevant or what!). Me? I won't be going, because I could think of a much more productive way to spend the money. Now, I'd go if somebody had an extra ticket, but only if they promised to keep me loaded at all times. |

I was thumbing thru the new Rolling Stone today, and I saw a blurb that said the Eagles' new album (and all future works) will be sold exclusively at Wal-Mart. They have entered into some sort of long-term arrangement with W-M which allows the band to basically be their own record company and label.
This is apparently old news, but I found it somewhat shocking anyway. And after a quick google, a good portion of the Interwebz does as well. |
Their "new" single is great!!
(It's an old J.D. Souther song for those that don't know. :) ) |
