Rufus Wainwright - Release The Stars

[Josh2003]

I know there are some Rufus fans here...who bought his new CD? What do you think?

At first listen, I wasn't too impressed. Want One to this day still can bring me to tears, so I guess I'm always expecting something at that level with each new Rufus release. I was a little disappointed in Want Two, but it has its moments that hit me like that, and overall, I enjoy the CD.

However, after a few more listens, I'm really enjoying Release the Stars...I'm really glad he finally put "Leaving for Paris" on CD.

Basically, I think the man is a musical genius on so many levels, and I can't wait to see him this summer.
