My Great News and Kind of Bad News

Great News: I'm in my first year as a graduate student and begining in January I will be working as an intern. We had our interviews last month and I just found out yesterday that I got an awesome placement. I'll be interning at a major hospital and I am really excited about it. With this first placement, you have no choice where you end up. I could have landed a job at a local DSS or in Child Protective Services somewhere. I couldn't have chosen a better placement if I HAD a choice. I may end up doing my full time placement there if things work out well. So, I'm very excited!

Kind of Bad News: I never get sick, right? I went to bed last night with a semi-sore throat and woke up this morning feeling like total hell. I called in sick to work which I never do) AND I didn't go to class today (which I have not done this whole semester) I don't have a fever but I'm dizzy and nauseous and have a really bad headache. One of my friends is coming to pick me up and we're going to the university clinic (she's sick, too). Poor me.
