My Great News and Kind of Bad News
Great News: I'm in my first year as a graduate student and begining in January I will be working as an intern. We had our interviews last month and I just found out yesterday that I got an awesome placement. I'll be interning at a major hospital and I am really excited about it. With this first placement, you have no choice where you end up. I could have landed a job at a local DSS or in Child Protective Services somewhere. I couldn't have chosen a better placement if I HAD a choice. I may end up doing my full time placement there if things work out well. So, I'm very excited!
Kind of Bad News: I never get sick, right? I went to bed last night with a semi-sore throat and woke up this morning feeling like total hell. I called in sick to work which I never do) AND I didn't go to class today (which I have not done this whole semester) I don't have a fever but I'm dizzy and nauseous and have a really bad headache. One of my friends is coming to pick me up and we're going to the university clinic (she's sick, too). Poor me. :distress: |
That's great for the...
good news, sucks about being ill.
Hope you get to feeling better...And good luck with the internship  |
Congrats on the internship!!! That is awesome news...
And sorry about being sick :( Guess it's the season for it - I hope you get to feeling better soon and I hope it's not something horrid like The Flu or Strepthroat...*shudder* |
sorry you're sick, but that internship sounds awesome! congrats! :woohoo:
|
Congratulations!
Hope you feel better, too. |
Congrats on the internship! I was getting sick last week and started taking Airborne which seems to have taken care of it. You could try that. :) Feel better. :xoxo:

I just spent two hours in the infirmary to find out I'm not really that sick? I didn't even get to see a doctor- just a nurse. She told me to take ibuprofen, immodium, pepto-bismol (sp?) and ginger ale.
*not happy* |

 In all honesty, most of the orders come from the nurse....They just can't put them in writing. |

Actually I never have a problem seeing a nurse, they just can't write prescriptions. Really, the only thing I wanted was phenergan for the nausea but oh well. She said I wasn't sick "long enough" (it only started this morning) to see a doctor. I have a family practitioner that I usually see, so I will go to her if I don't get better. |
that's awesome! I'm so happy for you.
but I hate you're sick. sounds kinda like the flu to me. better get a shot of something. hope you feel better soon! |
yah jannie! So perfect you are where you want to be!I hope what you have is just a little bug and you are all better now. |
Congratulations on the good news!
Now make them give you some Phenergan. That is the best stuff for nausea but it makes me go to sleep. |
I hate being sick like that. It's totally misreable. Hope you feel better soon.:xoxo:

And the sickness will pass. :xoxo: I got a sore throat yesterday, too. Not sick, though. Chest congestion. I think I just did too many things that give people sore throats and chest congestion over my lazy, lazy, lazy Thanksgiving holiday. I also never get sick. Weird. :p I hope you rebound quickly so you can have endless happy time thinking about your internship! |
