Martha Stewart and Me - face to face!

ok, so i'm on my way to my friend's apartment last night in New York City.. i'm driving along 47th street when I come upon a red light at the corner of 8th avenue.. I happen to look over to my left and lo and behold, who do i see? yup, you guessed it, Martha Stewart...

She was standing there with some other lady on the side of the street, talking to some guy who was riding a carriage.. She was literally 6 feet away from me... so i rolled down my window and in my most obnoxious voice, i said "Hi Martha!!"... she looked at me with this blank look on her face, obviously trying to avoid making it known to me that it was, in fact, her... so i said it again (i was still at the red light, so i had some time to kill), and she rolled her eyes..


Now, this is not the first time I have come face to face with a celebrity in New York City.. but this is the first time I have encountered one who seemed a bit on the unpleasant side.. I wasn't expecting a hello, or a wave, or a "hi, would you like an autograph?" (not that i would want one from her anyway), but a simple smirk or head nod would have been fine...

I guess what they say about her is true...
