OK,
I'm just a regular heterosexual male, nothing special, boring even... The other day I decided to wear a salmon pink shirt to work and I got rather a few comments... Mostly the guys just saying it was effeminate and taking the piss.... But it made me wonder, are we so stereotyped by the clothes we wear? Personally I have a lot of shirts in many colours and the pink one for me is just another colour.. In fact in some countries a man wearing such a colour of shirt is considered confident and self assured. So it's really odd how cultures differ.. I know I don't treat people differently if they are wearing a pair of worn jeans and an old ripped jacket or a $8000 Brioni suit, it's the manners of the person that dictate my response.. I just wondered how other people felt. Have you been treated differently, badly even, due to the clothes you wore at that time? ![]() |
