I'm watching Julia on Netflix now. There are so many references to this movie in Stevie's songs! Not only are the main characters Julia & Lily, but Lily stays in the Imperial Hotel. Not to mention the line "I see a handsome soldier." The songs Julia, Rock A Little, Battle Of The Dragon, and Imperial Hotel are all drawn from this movie. Probably Doing The Best I Can, too. I'm sure others I'm not picking up on.

I've had the book Triad for a decade. Now I just need to watch Wide Sargasso Sea. I love seeing the inspirations to songs I've been listening to for decades. It adds another layer .
