I would never expect Stevie herself to know the correct date of just about anything, but like bombaysaffires pointed out this would be so simple to verify & just say "we last did this in 1982" ... of course, for the rest of the set she could say and "we've been doing all these other songs since the late '70's"...

It's the version that hardcore fans like to associate. Like Stevie, we live in our own bubble. Ledgies know far more about the band than the average fan or the band members themselves. Ledgies spend time researching on the computer. Most of the band, notably Stevie, do not use computers or spend time reviewing their own history. The specific dates and details aren't important. They just wing it.
