), while i can't stand the grating chorus of Time Precious Time and Bel Air Rain drives me nuts. literally, it's too busy but not in a good way like To Try For The Sun. imo, of course, i know many people who feel the opposite.but you also have typically LB-ish Gift Of Screws on GOS; there's Tusk and there's GOS, those 2 songs are in their own separate category ![]() . and Underground at completely opposite end of spectrum. and you have In Our Own Time, That's The Way Love Goes and Illumination on SWS. when i first heard those - and Stars - live at Saban, and everybody loved Stars but i loved those other 3, i felt like a Lindsey-traitor because i thought those are not completely his style, unlike Stars. TTWLG can be a perfect little punkish song. although Lindsey says that it's in style of Come (for which he didn't write the music, Neale did), but i think although therare similarities those are 2 very different songs. TTWLG is much more accessible, while Come relies heavily on that explosive guitar solo. In IOOT you have both fast and slow, several melodies going, and that completely off guitar riffing. and then you have Treason or End of Time... middle of the roadish not very interesting songs if you ask me. although words do save End Of Time somewhat, and i guess it's FM-y, and supposedly did well on satellite radio, but really not my cup of tea when i have all those other spectacular choices. ![]()
