Of course an album won't generate $25 million in sales, much less $40 million, so touring is always more lucrative. However, it does not mean that they cannot make a profit with a new album, and a new album always leads to a tour. I don't know how much money Stevie made or lost on IYD, but I guarantee you she sold some extra tickets and was able to book her own headlining tour because of that album. Without IYD, Stevie would have been relegated to only casino shows and Heart and Soul.
Ugh, I would be overjoyed if they dropped their label! Honestly, I would think Lindsey would love that! Big labels get in the way... Indie labels have proven themselves imo. Think about comedians like Louis CK and Jim Gaffigan who sell their shows on their own websites! More profit.

Also, everyone keeps talking about how recording with FM is so full of strife. Still? I mean yeah, will there be disagreements, even arguments? Probably, yes, because it's a band with eight different minds (4 members and their agents). However, wouldn't you think after almost 40 years they would be better than ever in terms of the personal difficulties in studio? I mean, they always talk about how they wouldn't take their personal problems into the studio during Rumours because they knew that their music was greater than each of them individually. Based on LB and SN's recent work, as many of you mentioned, I think FM could come out with something pretty amazing!

Finally, while I don't think SYW is their strongest album, I still think it's pretty darn good! I also think it's better than TITN *gasp* It isn't like anything else they've recorded really. It sounds very early 2000s, so I wouldn't expect another album to sound like that. But, I don't hold it against them for sounding like the times, that's why they are still around!
